Minekube Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18th, 2026

Thank you for using Minekube! This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Minekube dashboard at app.minekube.com and the Minekube Connect services (collectively, the "Services"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.

The Services provide the infrastructure that connects Minecraft players to servers ("endpoints") that their owners have registered with us. This Privacy Policy describes how Minekube handles data as part of providing that infrastructure. It does not govern what server owners do on their own servers: if you connect to a third-party server through Connect, that server's operator is responsible for its own data practices, and you should review the policy of any server you play on.

Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

Account and registration information. When you sign up for an account, we collect the profile information your chosen sign-in provider (GitHub, Discord, GitLab, or Google) shares with us, such as your name, username, avatar, and email address. If you contact us directly, we receive the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send, and we may use your email address to respond.

Endpoint information. When you register a server endpoint with Connect, we store the information you provide (such as your server's name, address, and description) together with technical metadata reported by the connector software you run on your server — including operating system, Java and Minecraft versions, platform, and authentication type. So that we can route traffic to your server, the connector also reports the public IP address of the machine hosting your endpoint. This endpoint metadata is stored as part of your endpoint record and is deleted when the endpoint is deleted (see "Data Retention and Deletion" below).

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, on our behalf. We do not see or store your full card or other financial details; Stripe handles those under its own privacy policy.

Voting wallet addresses. If you use voting features, we store the wallet address you provide so votes can be credited to your server.

Feedback. If you submit feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback, we keep it so we can evaluate and respond to it.

B. Information We Collect When You Use Our Services

Live connection state (Connect). To connect a player to a server, our edge proxy relays traffic between them. While a player is connected we keep a small amount of live state — player name, endpoint, and connection timestamps — solely to manage the active connection. This is live, currently-online state only: it is not retained as connection history and is not used for analytics or profiling. We do not store the IP addresses of players who connect through Connect: our proxy observes only internal edge-network addresses, and player IP addresses are never written to our databases or logs.

No packet or content data. Connect relays Minecraft traffic between players and servers, but we do not log or store the content of Minecraft packets, chat messages, or other payloads that flow through the proxy.

Dashboard usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the dashboard is used, for example when an endpoint is created, a domain is mapped, or a plan is activated. These product-analytics events help us improve the Services and are also used to deliver feature flags. We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not build profiles of players or visitors for advertising or any commercial third-party use.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences (such as theme), and to secure your session. Our analytics tooling (PostHog) also sets cookies to recognize returning visitors to the dashboard. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising partners to collect information about your online activity through the Services. You can block or delete cookies through your browser, but some parts of the Services (such as signing in) may not work without them.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services, including routing Connect traffic and serving the dashboard;
  • manage your account, organization, endpoints, domains, and billing;
  • communicate with you about the Services, respond to your requests, and provide customer support;
  • secure the Services and prevent fraud, abuse, and trust-and-safety issues;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service; and
  • with your consent or as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use player data for advertising, and we do not create advertising profiles.

How We Share the Information We Collect

Vendors and service providers. We share information with the vendors that operate the Services on our behalf, limited to what they need to provide their part of the service. These include our hosting and infrastructure providers (see "Third-Party Services" below).

As required by law. We may access, preserve, and disclose information where we believe in good faith that doing so is required or appropriate to comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, to protect our or others' rights, property, or safety, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

Business transfers. If Minekube is acquired by or merged with another company, or sells, liquidates, or transfers all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The use of your information after such an event will be governed by the version of this Privacy Policy in effect at the time the information was collected.

With your consent. We may also disclose information where you have given us permission to do so.

Third-Party Services

The Services rely on the following third-party providers:

  • Cloudflare — edge networking and hosting for the dashboard (app.minekube.com) and parts of the Connect infrastructure.
  • Fly.io — edge hosting of the Connect proxy and related infrastructure.
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
  • PostHog — dashboard product analytics and feature flags.
  • Honeycomb — engineering telemetry (traces and metrics) used to operate and debug the Services. It does not contain player data or packet content.
  • OAuth providers (GitHub, Discord, GitLab, Google) — account sign-in, per the information you have authorized them to share with us.

Core databases, log storage, and metrics storage are hosted in our own infrastructure. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of the third parties listed above; we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Live connection state is kept only while a player is connected; it is not stored as history.
  • Operational logs (which may contain endpoint names, session identifiers, and internal network addresses) are retained for up to 14 days on our infrastructure and approximately 7 days at our edge provider, after which they are deleted.
  • Endpoint metadata — including the public IP address reported by your connector — is deleted when you delete the endpoint from the dashboard; deleting an endpoint also removes its associated session data.
  • Account data is deleted when you close your account, as described under "Your Choices" below.
  • We do not maintain player connection histories or analytics profiles to delete, because we do not collect them.

Your Choices

Account and endpoint deletion. You can close your account or delete individual endpoints at any time through your account settings. Closing your account deletes the account data associated with it.

Discovery opt-outs. The Browser Hub is a discovery surface that lets players who do not have a specific server address find servers that have chosen to be listed. If you are a server owner on the Plus plan, you can opt out of the Browser Hub listing and fallback, the /browser command, the default tablist, and the fallback server list (MOTD) for your endpoints.

Dashboard activity statistics. Activity statistics shown in your dashboard are computed from the live connection state described above and are not a history of individual players. There is no per-player tracking to opt out of.

Free and Plus plans. Data handling is identical whether you use the free plan or the paid Plus plan; Plus adds control features but does not change how we collect or use data.

Communications. If we send you promotional or product-update emails, you can unsubscribe using the link provided in the email. You will continue to receive essential administrative messages relating to your account.

Contact us. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@minekube.com.

Security

We make reasonable efforts to protect your information using physical and electronic safeguards designed to improve the security of the information we maintain. However, no electronic transmission or storage of information can be entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security or privacy of your information.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of our Services is directed to children. If you learn that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this Privacy Policy, you may alert us at privacy@minekube.com, and we will delete the information where required by law.

International Visitors

Our Services are hosted globally and intended for visitors located in any region of the world. If you use the Services from the European Union or other regions with data-protection laws that may differ from U.S. law, please note that you are transferring your personal information to countries outside those regions for storage and processing. By providing information to the Services, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes that we believe will materially affect your rights, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
